Morning traffic flowed endlessly outside Charles de Gaulle Airport, cars weaving in and out beneath the pale Parisian sky. A black sedan screeched to a halt near the entrance. Before the engine had even fully died, Amelia pushed the door open and jumped out, barely remembering to slam it shut behind her. She hurried inside, her heartbeat thundering louder than the voices echoing through the terminal.
People glanced her way as she rushed past them. She didn't care. Dressed in nothing more than casual clothes, she looked completely out of place among neatly dressed travellers and business executives but None of it mattered.
